Digital dentistry

What is digital dentistry?

Digital dentistry is a modern method of taking impressions of the mouth, replacing traditional methods that used impression materials and trays. With the help of a special intraoral scanner, the dentist accurately records the morphology of the teeth and gums in digital form, creating a three-dimensional model of the mouth.

Compared to conventional approaches

Compared to conventional impressions, digital technology offers greater accuracy, speed, and comfort for the patient, avoiding the unpleasant sensation of material in the mouth. In addition, errors and the need for retakes are reduced, while data is transferred directly to the dental laboratory, speeding up the manufacture of crowns, bridges, and other restorations with high precision and aesthetic results.
